NOTES FROM DIRECTORS

 

Directors’ Notes January 19, 2010 Meeting

 

  • Finals will be held July 16,17 & 18 in Saskatoon at Prairieland Park
  • Our show committee will be Jan Jacobson Kahl, Dave Marsh and Ian Box
  • Entry deadline will be June 15, 2010
  • Entry Fees will remain the same
  • Payment must accompany the entries
  • There will be a Tough Enough To Wear Pink Day
  • Strong possibility that Speed Penning will be held Friday eve this will be confirmed at a later date
  • Diamond K Quarter Horses has donated a foal,tickets will be sold and the foal will be drawn for at finals.
  • CTCPA has approved that an individual may pen at 2 local sanctions and will need to pay only the affiliated association membership fee ei. Stcpa $22 .Individuals may use this each year, but if they wish to attend more they will be required to buy a CTCPA membership.
  • Sponsorship Incentive for all members in good standing; For any member who gets a $300 dollar cattle number sponsor for Finals they will earn an entry fee credit for finals this credit can be used in the regular and youth classes but not in the shootouts. Ei. One $300 sponsor earns you a credit of $35, $30 or$20 depending on the class you specify to apply it to. An information package will be mailed out after the membership deadline.
  •  Sanction Show contractors will be able to offer other numbered classes as long as the Open 10, 7, and 5 are offered. They also have the right to cancel a class if there are not sufficient entries.
  • Western Horse Review is no longer available through the CTCPA
  • A new affiliated ass. has formed in the Cold Lake and Bonnyville area called Lakeland. It appears that we will be dual sanctioning with them but there are still a  few details that need to be finalized
  • We have asked for an exception regarding the SHF ruling as of Jan 1/10 that youth ages 16 and17 would  have to wear helmets.   On  Jan/19 it was confirmed that our request was going to be granted.
